Ireland Adventures Day 4...Bunratty Castle and Village

We spent our next day at Bunratty Castle and Folk Village. This was the first Castle we actually went inside and it had a lot of the original furnishings (talk about antiques) the stairwells were wicked narrow (a bit claustrophobic) but we went up 5 flights to the tower. Pretty awesome stuff. We also viewed the village and returned later that night as they transformed the dining hall for a medieval banquet dinner. (More on that later)

The village was pretty cool, as the houses were ancient as well and had been redone to be as they were back in the day. Thatched roofs and all.

My Grandma rock and rolled her way through this crazy castle and impressed us all.

Some of the artifacts in this castle were nearly a thousand years old.  Tapestries, paintings, furniture, antlers, armor. Really quite fascinating. Pics below. :D
